What is a Special Interest Group (SIG)?

SIGs are member-driven communities where LVN members can connect, share ideas and learn from peers around a common professional interest.

How do I join an LVN SIG?

You must be an active LVN member to join a SIG. Complete this signup and select the SIG or SIGs you would like to join.

What SIGs can I join?

LVN is launching four SIGs:

• AI & Innovation

• Legal Project Management (LPM)

• Practice Management

• Pricing

 

Can I join more than one SIG?

Yes! Members are welcome to participate in multiple SIGs based on their interests.

 

Who can participate?

SIGs are open to LVN members at all career levels.

 

What is the time commitment?

SIG members are expected to attend a one-hour virtual meeting each month. Beyond monthly meetings, participation is flexible. Members can join discussions, share resources, contribute to projects or pursue leadership opportunities based on their availability and interests.

SIGs give members opportunities to collaborate, share expertise and develop resources around their area of interest.

How are SIGs different from LVN committees?

LVN committees support defined organizational priorities and typically have more formal responsibilities, terms and expectations.​

SIGs are centered on shared professional interests and peer-to-peer engagement, providing members with a flexible way to connect around topics relevant to their work.

​Are there leadership opportunities within SIGs?

Yes! Each LVN SIG will have a volunteer leadership team.
