Chicago has been home to LVNx since our very first conference in 2022 for good reason. This city knows how to keep things fresh, from block to block and season to season. And while it’s officially fall, September in Chicago often feels like summer’s encore: warm days, cool evenings, and that golden light that makes everything feel a little more electric. We’re already counting down to LVNx 2025, and trust us, you’ll want to be here for it. Whether it’s your first visit or your third, here’s why another round in the Windy City is worth getting excited about.
1. September in Chicago
September in Chicago is lovely! Warm enough to enjoy patio dining and golden-hour walks along the river? Chef’s kiss. Come for the conference, stay for the seasonal charm.Â

2. The BeanÂ
It’s not a cliché, it’s a rite of passage! Millennium Park is more than just Cloud Gate. There’s live music, ever-changing art, the tranquil Lurie Garden, and the interactive Crown Fountain (just wait until the faces start spitting water).Â
3. Eats Like Nowhere ElseÂ
We’re talking iconic deep-dish at Lou Malnati’s, serious steak at RPM, or a next-level food hall experience at Time Out Market. Want to eat like a local? Grab a hot dog (no ketchup!) or try an Italian beef sandwich – wet, of course.Â

4. The Architecture Boat Tour
Even locals love this one. The Chicago Architecture Center’s River Cruise is the most fun you’ll ever have learning about steel-frame construction and postmodern design.
5. The Mag Mile
It’s not just big-name stores (though, yes, Nordstrom is solid). There are Chicago originals tucked in everywhere. Get lost at the historic Water Tower Place, pick up fresh spices at The Spice House, and do not leave without Garrett Popcorn (Chicago mix, trust us).

6. Navy Pier: Not Just for TouristsÂ
Locals love it too — especially in the fall when it’s a bit quieter. Ride the Centennial Wheel for panoramic views, catch a show at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, or just stroll along the water with a cup of coffee and good vibes.Â
7. Culture, Walkable, World-ClassÂ
From the lions guarding the Art Institute to the bold vibes of the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), there’s something for every taste. Bonus: The American Writers Museum is a hidden gem for anyone who loves language.Â

8. The Riverwalk
Your after-sessions happy place! Grab a drink at City Winery, relax by the water at Island Party Hut, or meet up with new friends at Tiny Tapp. On a nice evening, you’ll find locals out in full force.
9. Getting Around the Windy City is a Breeze
Whether you're flying into O’Hare or Midway, Downtown Chicago is an easy cab ride and an hour on the ‘El’ train. Chicago’s flat, walkable streets, Divvy bikes, and easy public transit make exploring the city a total win.

10. The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk: A Great Home Base
Nestled where the Chicago River meets Lake Michigan, this is one of the best spots in the city to stay. Step outside and you're already on the Riverwalk. Five minutes one way and you're at Navy Pier. Five minutes the other way, and you’re at the Wrigley Building.
💡 Local Bonus Tip: Want to earn instant Chicago cred? Ask your Uber driver where to find the best jibarito – a Puerto Rican sandwich made with fried plantains instead of bread. It’s a true Chicago original and criminally underrated.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, LVNx 2025 is your perfect excuse to dive deeper into the city that does it all — with heart, hustle, and a skyline that’ll have you staring every time.
Registration opens in June. In the meantime, sneak a peek at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk and what’s waiting for you: Explore the Venue & Location.
