About the event

Speakers:

The second session will flow from the major themes identified in the first session (think collaboration, knowledge sharing, flex work) but those unable to attend the first session will not feel out of place. We will bring in a well-being expert to help us identify people-centered approaches to innovation. We will introduce some suggested frameworks to help us consider how we use innovation to solve people challenges around retention, job satisfaction, burnout, and development.

Innovation can be anything that improves how something is done.  We often spend our time focusing on what is not working and trying to fix it but there is value in focusing on what is working well and building off of that.  In the legal industry, in particular, we tend to spend our time talking about and complaining about what is broken but by thinking about what is working and expanding on that we often have much more success and less personal frustration.

One way to think about this is to play to your own strengths.  We can't help people be at their best unless we are at our best.  Jessie will spend time talking about identifying (via some free surveys) your own strengths and then learning to play to those strengths to improve your organization and succeed in your job.
